Kentrosaurus was delighted.

Woolly Mammoth was returning to The Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival after 2 years of meditation in the remains of the city of Tanis in Egypt.

Knowing this, he had prepared for months to prepare the church for Mammoth's return and his expected sermon. The Iguanodon family was the first of the guests to arrive at the Church, as Kentrosaurus expected but this time they brought someone with them that Kentrosaurus did not know.

He stomped forthrightly, to greet his friends, and introduce himself to the dinosaurs which had come with the Iguanodons to seek the Word of God.

“Hail, Iguanodon! Hello to you and your family. May God's love shine upon you!” “Greetings, good Kentrosaurus!” said Iguanodon. “My family and I are delighted to be here this morning and look forward to the return of Woolly Mammoth and his Christmas sermon.”

“I have been preparing for this Sunday with even more care than a normal Sunday,” said Kentrosuarus. “I am delighted to see you and your entire family here.” “We are blessed to be a part of this Church family.” Mrs. Iguanodon said to Kentrosaurus, as her children gathered round her and even snuggled close to Kentrosaurus whom they knew well and admired.

“Please do introduce me to your friend. Let me welcome this newcomer to the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ.” “Oh, my apologies!” exclaimed Iguanodon. “This is our relative, recently discovered from the country of Argentina. Welcome Emiliasaura alessandrii from Northwestern Patagonia, Argentina.”

“Very pleased to meet you, good Kentrosaurus. I am recently discovered and named though I am about 138 Million Years old from the early Cretaceous period when that area comprised many Nations joined together and called Gondwanaland.”

“The Earth has changed a lot since our heyday,” observed Kentrosaurus. “But welcome to the Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival; come to hear the Word of God from Woolly Mammoth who returns to the Church after a 2 year meditation retreat.

“Welcome, and Christ be with you; if you need anything just ask me. I am, in humility your servant, and glad to have you here.”

Kentrosaurus then turned to welcome other guests to the Church. Among these some of the usual attendees such as Western Black Rhino and Sister Quagga had arrived. While delighted to see his friends return, Kentrosaurus also lamented that he'd never seen Dire Wolf or Smilodon at Church as they had promised years ago. He'd hoped they'd show up during Woolly Mammoth's sabbatical so he could show Woolly Mammoth that the Chruch had grown in his absence. But Western Black Rhino was here, beginning to feel adjusted to the fact that he was extinct; and coming to God was one of the factors that helped his mental state through this difficult process.

Kentrosaurus observed Widow Ground Sloth and her son Junior enter the Church. They were such delightful friends to him and Woolly Mammoth and were definitely sincere Christians. He knew they knew the way and followed in the footsteps of The Lord. The next guest, Kentrosaurus wasn't always sure of, but Spinosaurus was always welcome provided he never tried to eat anyone at Church. Especially not during the sermon.

Kentrosaurus was elated that he had helped to bring Western Black Rhino some peace to his soul. And Sister Quagga was here. She usually spent her time grazing upon the African plain; but she was a fairly frequent guest of the Church as she came there to visit with her neighbors. Kentrosuarus knew she was an Atheist, but he held out hope, especially on Christmas Day, that someday soon she would hear a sermon that would give her the epiphany which would save her soul.

Then Nigersaurus arrived; and being a sauropod he stomped into the prayer garden and stuck his head through the Church skylight. “Hello, there!” he said, “I heard that Woolly Mammoth is coming back, and will be giving a sermon this Christmas Morning.”

“It is true,” confirmed Kentrosaurus. “Welcome, Nigersaurus, I am so pleased to see you this morning.”

“Is Stegosaurus coming to the sermon?” Nigersaurus asked.

“Stegosaurus is not here; he is in Tibet with our cousin Wuerhosaurus,” replied Kentrosaurus.

“It would have been nice to see him,” rejoined Nigersaurus. “Next time you speak, please send him my regards.”

“I will,” promised Kentrosaurus.

Woolly Rhino was next to arrive, giving greetings to Western Black Rhino, who met him in the narthex.

He noticed the presence of Emiliasaura alessandrii and asked Kentrrosaurus, “Who is that?”

“This is our guest from Argentina Emiliasaura alessandrii, who is a relative of the Iguanodon family, and he was recently discovered. We're glad to have him here.”

“I shall introduce myself,” said Woolly Rhino, and to Western Black Rhino he asked, “Would you like to come with me? Let us make a new friend.”

“Wait,” said Kentrosaurus. “I note that the time has arrived for Woolly Mammoth to return and deliver the Christmas sermon. By all means, introduce yourselves after the sermon.”

“I look forward to it,” said Western Black Rhino.

The church was full of dinosaurs and megafauna expecting the return of Woolly Mammoth and his first sermon in 2 years, this fine, Christmas Morning.

As he entered the Church, Woolly Mammoth surveyed his beloved congregation and saw many familiar faces which warmed his heart. Then, he noticed Emiliasaura alessandrii there and was delighted as always, to see new faces at his Church. He felt called to introduce himself at once, immediately going to the far back corner of the Church, where Emiliasaura alessandrii was speaking to the Iguanodon family.

“Greetings, Iguanodon family !! May the Blessings of the Lord Jesus be upon you!”

“We are so pleased to see you here, Mammoth and look forward to your Christmas Day sermon.”

“I shall speak shortly, but I see you have a friend with you new to our Church. Who might he be?” asked Woolly Mammoth.

“A pleasure to meet you, Woolly Mammoth. I too, eagerly await your Christmas Day sermon. I am Emiliasaura alessandrii, a relative of the Iguanodon family, recently discovered in 2013, I am from Argentina.”

“Welcome to my Church, my Brother in Christ,” said Woolly Mammoth. Then, Mammoth noticed behind him the arrival of Western Black Rhino and Woolly Rhino.

“Ah!” exclaimed Mammoth. “Welcome, Emiliasaura alessandrii, and here is Western Black Rhino and Woolly Rhino. Have you met them? They are stout and loyal to the Church and our God.”

“A pleasure to meet you,” said Western Black Rhino. “I could not help but overhear your conversation with Mammoth, and I hear you were discovered the same year that the mammal scientists declared me extinct. We have something in common!!”

“So, we do, so we do,” said Emiliasaura alessandrii “A pleasure to meet you and your Woolly friend.”

“I am Woolly Rhino,” said Woolly Rhino as he introduced himself.

“A pleasure to meet you both,” said Emiliasaura alessandrii. “Please be welcome in our pew and listen to the sermon with me and the Iguanodons.”

“I shall go at once and give the Sermon on this Blessed Day,” said Woolly Mammoth.

The two rhinos agreed to remain with their new friend and Woolly Mammoth returned to the front of the Chruch and prepared to give his sermon, the entire congregation waited with breathless anticipation.

Woolly Mammoth returned to the pulpit, and said,

“Welcome one and all, dinosaur and megafauna, I am glad to see you all and glad to be back at my Church preaching the Word of God. Merry Christmas to one and all. This morning my sermon is on the 3rd verse of St. Paul's Epistle to the Colossians which was written around 60 – 61, AD. I know that all of us here are Children of the one True God, Jesus Christ, and knowing this, as we do, we should all set our eyes not upon things of this Earth, but upon the skies of Heaven and the World beyond and above us. Therein is the example that Christ came to earth to teach us, therein is the key to life eternal, a life of peace and true prosperity. For you take no earthly thing with you to the afterlife all that you have is that which you have given to others by your example, an example I pray is an example of God, Jesus in this earth.

Discard then anything that ties you to the physical world, and focus upon the future of your eternal souls. Reject any immoral act of the flesh, any desire that would not meet the approval of God or your higher, ideal self. Keep as an example that which the Lord gave to us when he sent his only Son into the World. For Jesus is the light that we all need to keep in sight. We cannot do that focused on the cares of this World; Jesus wants more for us all. He has provided the example and we must follow.

We cannot reject it and remain at peace while in the physical world. If we are ever to reach that high station that the Son of God provided as an example we must look above and turn within to find the voice of our Lord speaking to us, reminding us of what he taught, what he promised if we would just make the decision, to follow.

Can you see, as the scripture instructs, we must do this, or the wrath of God shall be upon us for rejecting Him and turning outwardly to our own selfish desires and needs. God wants you to be a part of Him, wants to give you that opportunity for eternal life.

Choose wisely and reject any thing that binds you to the earth. Any impurity, selfishness or greed, this is idolatry. Reject anger, rage, and malice from your hearts. Do not swear nor take the Lord's name in vain, do not lie to yourselves or each other as your old selves represent the life you left behind when the Lord came into your life.

Keep looking up, keep looking within, and you will see the Lord waiting for you. He is listening for your prayer. Embrace your new image the image of your God, within and without. All you have learned is an example and opportunity to learn more. To be more graceful, more kind, more gentle. I hope it is easier to do this time of year as we celebrate the birth of our Lord at Christmastide, but the example of Jesus is one we should always embrace and love as He loves us.

As the scripture reads, thus, “Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.”

Practice as a general rule, kindness, compassion, humility, gentleness and patience, and if you develop a grievance with your brother or sister, cast it aside and forgive it. Forgive it with love. Be one with God, in unity. Express your solidarity with Christ through such things that please the Lord. For example, sing psalms, hymns and songs of the Spirit. Spend some part of the day within, in meditation with the still, small voice of your soul. Do this every day, and the Gift that the Lord wants for you is yours and you are truly free. No matter what you do, give thanks onto the Lord Jesus Christ and be thankful you are here at this time to experience that which had been scorned and rejected by the Worldly of the World. Give thanks to God the Father through Him, Jesus almighty.

If you face difficulty and need help be not afraid to ask, be not ashamed. We all falter from time to time this is the unfortunate fact of our times but we can rise above, and the Lord Jesus points the way.

One bright, clear Sunday morning at the Woolly Mammoth Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival Sister Quagga spoke with an excessively overjoyed Kentrosaurus.

"Why are you so happy today, Kentrosaurus?" asked Sister Quagga. "Today, Sister Quagga, is a very special day," he rejoined. "I have always been just the loyal God fearing groundskeeper here. But today because Woolly Mammoth is suffering from laryngitis and cannot deliver the Sunday sermon, the task falls to me."
"Good luck," said Sister Quagga. "What is your sermon going to be on this Sunday?"
"I have changed nothing from what Woolly Mammoth planned before his illness. Scheduled today is a sermon on Colossians 3:12 ~ 17."
"Where is Woolly Mammoth at the moment?"
"Resting in the prayer garden. He's also feeling kind of down because the mammal scientists have failed to revive his DNA in mouse eggs, which has been a real setback in his quest for de - extinction."

"Oh," said Sister Quagga sadly. "I hope he does not feel down too long. The mammals are smart, and they'll figure it all out eventually. Wait and see."

"I hope so."

"To change the topic, I have a question to ask of you."

"What is it?"

"I've met some nice friends on the African plains recently who have said they'd like to come to the Church for a sermon. Would you mind if my friends known as Ostriches come and visit for a sermon?"

"Of course they may come! All are welcome to hear the Word of the Lord."

"I shall gallop to the plains and bring them back here with me."

"Very well. I will make them welcome."

"You'll like them. The novel thing about Ostriches is, they are not yet extinct."

"Fascinating."

As Sister Quagga left, Kentrosaurus retrieved his Bible and opened it to the Epistle to the Colossians, in order to prepare for his sermon.

Then he received a visit from Western Black Rhino.

"Hello, Kentrosaurus," said Western Black Rhino.

"Why, hello, Western Black Rhino. What brings you to visit? I hope you will come to my sermon later today."

"I am indeed planning on it, friend. I have a question for you."

"What is it?"

"I have finally met an extinct friend with which I have much in common. I visited with Woolly Rhinoceros to see if he'd like to join the planned Cold Weather Disaster Relief Agency. Happily he agreed, and wants to speak with Woolly Mammoth about it. Is Woolly Mammoth available?"

"Woolly Mammoth is in the prayer garden but alas ! He is suffering from laryngitis and cannot speak at the moment, hence the reason why I am giving the sermon today at Church."

"Aha!" said Western Black Rhino. "Well, I have brought Woolly Rhino with me, perhaps he'd like to stay for the sermon."

"Of course Woolly Rhino is welcome. Bring him back in a week or so, when Woolly Mammoth has recovered. I am certain that Woolly Mammoth will want to speak to him."

"Thank you, Kentrosaurus, I look forward to your sermon later today."

"God bless," said Kentrosaurus. "Oh, and let me tell you that Sister Quagga was just here; she is bringing some Ostriches with whom she has made friends on the African plains. So he won't be the only new guest to the Church today."

"That's wonderful," said Western Black Rhino.

When Western Black Rhino left, Kentrosaurus resumed the study of the scripture.

As the time approached for the sermon, Kentrosaurus was glad to see Sister Quagga returned with her Ostrich friends, Western Black Rhino with Woolly Rhinoceros, and even Smilodon and Dire Wolf, who had long ago promised to return after being rescued from the tar pits. Widow Ground Sloth and her son Junior were there as well as Woolly Mammoth, in spite of the fact that he could not speak at the moment.

"Welcome, Brothers and Sisters, began Kentrosaurus.

"Today I am honored to give you a sermon due to Woolly Mammoth being ill today. May God bless him with a speedy recovery. I never dreamed that one day I'd rise above groundskeeper to give a sermon of my own. Thank you, Lord Jesus and Woolly Mammoth for the opportunity."

Woolly Mammoth silently acknowledged Kentrosaurus, and then the sermon began.

" I want to speak today on St. Paul's Epistle to the Colossians. You, my friends, Brothers and Sisters, are the Chosen People of God. One of the many places that The Bible makes this clear is verses 12 through 17 of the Epistle to the Colossians. ' Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.' These are increasingly hard times in which we are living. Maybe not as bad as the time a meteor struck the Yucatán Peninsula, or a comet smashed into Greenland, but it is a time that increasingly tests the faith and endurance of those who call themselves Christian. But you must keep the faith and stay the course, at the end of the trial you will be worthy if you follow this advice. 'Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.' Life is too short. If you are a dinosaur, or megafauna, a meteor may come for you; if you are a mammal, as we know, your life is short so you must not bear any grudge with your neighbor; You do not know the number of your days, so things must be made right in case you face your final days. So you may leave in clear conscience without regrets of any kind. Forgive, for when you forgive there is peace; when you give you will receive the same. Several times over, these are the things you can take with you. As the possessions of the mortal coil must crumble and turn to dust, or fade away, but the feeling of your heart and soul remains. This will be counted for righteousness. Can I get an Amen, Brothers and Sisters? An Amen, please?"

"Amen!" said everyone. Everyone except Woolly Mammoth of course, but he had a good excuse !!!

Kentrosaurus continued, "There is an expression of unity! You will have perfect unity! For as the scripture says, ' ' And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity'.

"Bound in the Word and in the Love of our Lord God, and his Son, Jesus Christ! Love is eternal; for only that which is good can survive. Only love lasts. through all time."

"Verily, I say onto you, again from the Good Book, 'Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.'

"For this, my brothers and sisters, is the Grace of God. The Grace of the Lord is given to those who dwell with him in peace and unity. Be humble and supplicant in your entreaty, with prayer it will be granted unto you if you believe. Be thankful not just for the food you eat, not just for your scales or your fur, that there are no meteors in the sky, but for the love you have given and received. It is evidence of God, it is evidence of His manifestation; the manifestation of Jesus Christ. Jesus , God Himself calls upon you to be the Word manifest into the world"

"Now again, we return to the Epistle, and it says, 'Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.'

"So we shall sing today upon the conclusion of this sermon, as the Lord asks of us, as the Lord desires, that we, through him, may express appreciation and thanksgiving for all that we have and all that we are. Bring about Heaven, be the peace, be the love, be the example of your ideal, such a life honestly lived cannot fail your body or your soul. One last time we return to the Word in this sermon, and it says unto us, ' And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him'.

"The Lord is our example and our template. Let me give you an example of someone making God manifest to help their neighbor. Before I had the landscaping job here, I used to supplement my military pension by sending out emails from Nigerian "Princes", but it was Sister Quagga who was an instrument of the Lord in talking some common sense into me and convincing me that I should seek more honest employment. Before I even knew it, she was guiding my way, even if she knew it or not, to this Church, this land of Johannesburg, to my benefactor, Woolly Mammoth, who had faith in me and gave me a chance of redemption. Sister Quagga had made the Lord Jesus manifest through her actions towards me, and I try to return this same to everyone I meet. I hope I have not embarrassed you Sister Quagga, but I want you to know the impact you have had on my life and that I am thankful and gracious of your actions towards me in my time of need. "

Sister Quagga did not speak out, but her friends the Ostriches gathered around her and were speaking to her privately. Since she is a humble and unassuming creature she had not told them of her good deed.

"This concludes the sermon," said Kentrosaurus. "Now go forth in unity and brotherhood, to right the wrongs you can when you see them, to extend a hand to your friend or your enemy as well, in times of need be as one in unity, for this is the path to enlightenment. Thank you."

"When I heard that Ms. Giraffe had been placed on the Endangered Species List, I immediately floated forthrightly on my raft to South Africa to meet with her and my friends there to offer support and any help that I could," said Stegosaurus.

"Upon arrival I first met with my cousin Kentrosaurus, and we gathered together our friends of the area, Nigersaurus, Sister Quagga, Western Black Rhino, Widow Ground Sloth and her son, Junior, and of course, Woolly Mammoth. We all agreed to process at once to the African plains in order to meet with Ms. Giraffe. Sister Quagga led the way, since she lives there also.

"We will protect Ms. Giraffe to ensure that she does not end up extinct," said Sister Quagga. "Knowing what extinction is like, we will do everything that we can to prevent this tragedy."

"I shall offer a sermon on the Gospel of St. Matthew 6:25 ~ 34," said Woolly Mammoth, "For with our presence, and the benevolent presence of Lord Jesus, she shall not be anxious."

"I found myself stomping along with my cousin Kentrosaurus and Nigersaurus and we all agreed that Giraffe poachers would be surprised and in great fear of my cool, spiky tail, and the cool, spiky tail of my cousin Kentrosaurus," said Stegosaurus.

"Because of his great size they will even fear the non spiky tail of Nigersauruus," said Kentrosaurus.

"Yes", agreed Nigersaurus, somewhat embarrassed by the attention. "I must practice whacking things with my tail for a while so that I can be of maximum service to the welfare of Ms. Giraffe. Say, friend Stegosaurus, perhaps dancing lessons would limber me up a little bit, and I'd be better at whacking things with my tail as a nice added benefit."

"Sure it could," said Stegosaurus. "We can go to Cuba later this summer, and I can teach you a few dance moves that will help this. We can talk about it later."

"I look forward to it," said Nigersaurus.

"If anyone threatens Ms. Giraffe I will do anything to protect her .... even stab the offenders with my horn!" said Western Black Rhino.

"What if they turn and attack you?" asked Sister Quagga.

"I'm already extinct ... what can they do that they haven't done already?"

Then, Woolly Mammoth interjected, "My good friend Western Black Rhino, let me council that those who live by the sword shall die by the sword."

"You are the conscience of many and you do your job well," said Western Black Rhino.

"You are a fine diplomat," Sister Quagga told Western Black Rhino.

"Junior and I will let Ms. Giraffe hide in the forest that Kentrosaurus planted for us; this is the Christian thing to do ..... she can hide in safety and comfort we will share of our kindness and
prosperity," said Widow Ground Sloth.

"That is very generous," said Kentrosaurus. "How very kind. Blessings upon you for all you have learned."

"We must exemplify that which is the best nature has to offer," said Widow Ground Sloth.

"Look! Here we are upon the plains, and there is Ms. Giraffe! Hello, Ms. Giraffe!" said Sister Quagga.

"Well, hello! What brings so many of my friends to visit today?" asked Ms. Giraffe.

"We heard that you had been placed on the Endangered Species List and have come to offer our help and advice. We will help protect you and prevent your extinction," said Stegosaurus.

"If I am becoming extinct it is news to me. My relatives in the West are thriving," said Ms. Giraffe. "Where have you heard this news?"

"The International Union For the Conservation of Nature announced it, and it was reported by The Smithsonian Institution," said Stegosaurus.

"Reliable sources," said Ms. Giraffe, a look of sudden concern crossing her usually tranquil face.

"Fear not, do not be anxious! I see that look of concern and will bring to you the comfort of the advice of the Lord Jesus Christ," said Woolly Mammoth. "For which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to your days?"

"I know you mean well by your sermons, Woolly Mammoth. If you'd like I will come to your Church someday and take in the Word. If you would, can it be an outdoor sermon? I am a very tall animal and will not fit in a church."

"Of course we can accommodate that," said Woolly Mammoth.

"I will landscape an area for such a sermon immediately upon our return to the Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival," said Kentrosaurus. "I've always enjoyed new projects."

"We will gladly protect you from poachers and any other factors that threaten you and your life as best we can," said Widow Ground Sloth. "Come visit in our forest and stay for a while."


"I am looking forward to stabbing poachers with my horn!" said Western Black Rhino.

"He's said that once before!" confirmed Nigersaurus.

"Well I appreciate all the care and concern for me and my welfare," said Ms. Giraffe. "I will visit with my friends and accept any help you can give me. Thank you so much for caring."

Shortly after the visit of Dire Wolf in late May, Kentrosaurus had an epiphany of his own. He told Sister Quagga,

"I know it is not Epiphany season, but I have had an epiphany about something which has shaken my core belief to its foundation."

"What would that be?" asked Sister Quagga, with genuine interest.

"You know now for a few years I have I have been celebrity spokes dinosaur for the group of mammals calling themselves Christians Against Dinosaurs."

"Yes, we have all been aware, even Woolly Mammoth."

"Well, I have decided to leave their organization because of this epiphany. The split was effective yesterday, the 18th of June."

Sister Quagga was expecting something a little more dramatic, but was still surprised by this turn of events. She asked,

"What was the cause of this epiphany? Have you been stomping down the road to Damascus?"

"No, I saw no visions of the Lord Jesus," said Kentrosaurus. "There was no Pentecost, I did not speak in tongues."

"Then what was the cause?"

"There was no religious sign, such as the prophets saw in the Bible, but nonetheless I saw before me a sign from the Lord. Truth is that on June 14th I saw that the forest I had planted for the widow and son of Giant Ground Sloth had grown, and was now fit to be habitable by the Megatheriums. Widow Ground Sloth and her son were so grateful for the home that I had provided for them, that they were in tears of joy, and I felt such a sense of accomplishment in the undertaking of this project that by that evening I was contemplating the direction my life was taking. Maybe, as the Bible says in many places, Good deeds in action make clear the narrow path that leads the way and opens the gates of Heaven. Maybe it really is all in being a helpmeet to our fellow creatures and putting those words into practice rather than just speaking them before the masses with zeal. Maybe the truth is not just in what you believe but what you do. Faith in action. After this I could not be more divisive to my fellow creatures and rather than be a spokes dinosaur for a political organization I should seek out more projects that help those in need. It seems to me that this is the true Christian way. Faith, Hope, Love, Charity. All of these things in action."

"Wow. I am impressed. And very proud of you," said Sister Quagga.

"I am glad; that means a lot to me." rejoined Kentrosaurus.


"I was speaking yesterday to Widow Ground Sloth, and I think that with this epiphany it is likely that I do exist. My bones are in the Earth not as a test from the Lord God, but as proof that I existed. Thus, I have concocted a great plan from the Bible itself. I am following the instructions to the letter from Genesis Chapter 6 for building an Ark, just as Noah built an Ark. Widow Ground Sloth and her son agreed to help, as well as Woolly Mammoth. This time, when the rain falls, when the great deluge drowns the Earth and all of its sins, I will not become extinct, I will survive! I will say no to extinction and yes to life!"

"What of Dire Wolf, will he help?" asked Sister Quagga.

"I am sure he would, but he has already begun his journey back to California. You know it took him a long time to travel to Africa and it shall take him a long time to return to America. But, would you like to help me build an Ark?"

Sister Quagga was skeptical of religion, but she was so proud of Kentrosaurus and how much he had learned from his epiphany that she agreed.

"Widow Ground Sloth and her son will be good friends, you will like them. I am so grateful. It will be nice to have you with us."

The next day Kentrosaurus gathered Sister Quagga, Widow Ground Sloth and her son, along with Woolly Mammoth, and read from the book of Genesis, Chapter 6, 14: ~ 16.

"So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.
This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.
Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks."


"Well, now, some translations say we should use goferwood; what is that exactly? I have been eating trees for millions of years and never crossed paths with it .... what should we do?" asked Kentrosaurus of Woolly Mammoth, who of course, knows his Bible.

"I am aware of this curiousity," replied Woolly Mammoth; and having consulted the Jewish Encyclopedia, I have concluded that cypress is the type of wood intended by the Bible .... by the Word of the Lord God".

"I shall take your word on the issue and follow your wisdom," said Kentrosaurus.

So the work began, and Widow Ground Sloth and her son, joined in to help. They made friends with Sister Quagga right away just as Kentrosaurus had predicted.

"We are so grateful for the forest that Kentrosaurus planted for us," Widow Ground Sloth told Sister Quagga. It was such a generous, Christian thing to do .... if only all the world practiced their Faith as Kentrosaurus and his mentor Woolly Mammoth do the world would be a better, kinder place."

"If there is such a thing as an afterlife ruled by an all powerful benevolent being, if we are do be judged by a Creator, then surely we should be judged by our actions, more by our actions, than by what we believe. Find an ideal, make reaching it your life's goal, live it to the letter and you cannot fail," said Sister Quagga. "It is good advice for anyone .... the principle of love, charity and kindness is not exclusively the domain of the religious. I am however very proud of Kentrosaurus as I have seen him come a long way in the last few years and I will help him build an ark even though I am skeptical of the impending end of the world."

"You are both very kind," said Widow Ground Sloth. "Kentrosaurus has always spoken very highly of you and I am pleased to make your acquaintance. I should like you to meet my son, my pride and joy, who remains the image of his dear departed father."

Widow Ground Sloth called to her son, and a younger, slightly smaller Ground Sloth came to his mother's side. Formal introductions were made, and young Ground Sloth said, "I am very pleased to meet you, Sister Quagga. Come visit our forest any time, and we will visit you on the plains."

"I would like that very much," said Quagga. "Now we have been working all day, the Ark is nearly finished, and since Woolly Mammoth is serving a dinner we should be polite and listen to his evening sermon on Phillipians 4:13."

The Ground Sloths agreed, and as the sun set they all turned towards The Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival. Woolly Mammoth, with typical zeal, opened his sermon.


"Brothers and Sisters all, Welcome and thank you all for the assistance in building Kentrosaurus' Ark. Should the Lord Almighty ever decide to again flood the earth with a great deluge of waters, we will be ready. In spite of all the sin prevalent in the World today, I hope He is more merciful than in the days of Noah, but should it be His will, we will all be ready. Though this great Ark we will be ready.

Welcome all in the name of Christ Jesus. Tonight for the evening sermon I am so inclined to preach upon the Epistle of Paul to the Philippians. From Chapter 4 verse 4, I say to you as Paul did: Rejoice in the Lord always! I say it again, REJOICE! The bright blessings of friends old such as Kentrosaurus and Sister Quagga are joined in love with new acquaintances such as Widow Ground Sloth and her beloved son who have experienced the painful loss of their husband and father, called to the bosom of the Lord too soon for our liking. To our new friend and recent convert, recent visitor Dire Wolf we are grateful. Dire Wolf has returned to his native California USA to bring the Word of Lord Jesus to all in his country who will listen. He travels as Paul travelled, speaking the truth of the Gospel to the masses. Praise the Lord, who in his Grace has aligned the Heavens to cause our acquaintance.

Again, from the scripture, All who may hear may you be joined in love and "....let your gentleness be evident to all, as the Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Perhaps I should give this sermon again in November when mammals celebrate Thanksgiving in a large part of North America, but I think any day we are alive, far distant from the cold, cold land of Extinction, we should bow our heads and be humble in thanksgiving to the Lord of Hosts. If you do not understand, fear not! For as the scripture tells us, And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Yes, brothers and sisters, whatever is true whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praise worthy think about such things. Whatever you have seen or heard from me, put into practice. Live your life as an example of what to be so that people who see and feel your presence will want to emulate you. Speak not the Word if your actions are hollow for to speak the Word without appropriate action is desecration of the Word and an affront to the Lord God. You are representatives of the Lord God's work on Earth and you must live a positive example if you seek the path to Heaven. The God of Peace, the Son of Peace, be with you all.

We must be content in our circumstances and if we want turn to prayer as the Lord will provide to those who believe and point the way to find the help we seek. I know what it is to need, and what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret, And I will tell you brothers and sisters because I love you what I know what Faith in the Lord has taught me through many thousands of years of living, my many thousands in the land of extinction, what got me through those dark times is my faith in the Lord that He would provide me release in due course a time of His choosing. Patience, Faith and Love are my treasure of hold and give for as I give so shall I receive. I know the Secret! I have learned the Secret of being content in any and every situation whether well fed or hungry, living in plenty or in want, I CAN DO EVERYTHING THROUGH HIM THAT GIVES ME STRENGTH! It has been good of you to share my troubles, That we should all share these troubles together for we have all come from the same Creator and at a time appointed by Him and known only to Him we shall be called away so we shall live right, and when called away know in our hearts that we shall all be joined by Grace in the highest Heaven to kneel at the foot of the Lord Jesus Christ in gratitude.

I am looking for what may be accredited to your account! To our accounts as brothers and sisters to the Lord God. Follow me, for My God will meet your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus!! To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever AMEN. Can I get an AMEN, brothers and sisters!?! As I raise mine eyes and mine trunk to the Heavens in prayer and honest supplication, can I get an AMEN and Hallelujah? This is my sermon, this is my hope that belongs to me and to you and to all of us! Go, go in the name of the Lord in peace. Bring his word to all who may hear that Grace may be theirs. Grace, peace, and love!"

It was so observed in the Spring that Dire Wolf kept his word and traveled from the La Brea Tar Pits in California USA to Johannesburg South Africa in order to visit Woolly Mammoth's Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival as he had promised in August, 2016.

Kentrosaurus was outside trimming the hedges, ( but not eating the flowers ) when Dire Wolf arrived on Sunday, May 14th inst.,

"I am so overjoyed to see you!" exclaimed Kentrosaurus. "I rejoice that you have kept your word and come all this way to hear the Word of the Lord."

"A long journey have I made, Kentrosaurus, a very long journey. A pilgrimage it was just as in the Medieval age of mammals."

"Indeed! Welcome!" said Kentrosaurus. "Make yourself at home, brother Dire Wolf; I shall return anon with Woolly Mammoth. He shall rejoice to see thee, and I am sure provide a sermon for thy Spiritual well being."

Woolly Mammoth was at the rear of the Church, in the Prayer Garden, washing statues of Jesus and Saint Francis of Assisi with his trunk.

several varieties of song birds were chirping gaily, so accustomed to the presence of Woolly Mammoth that they were in no ways afraid of him.

The sun was shining, and there was not a cloud in the sky; a light, warm, pleasant breeze moved through Woolly Mammoth's wool, and he rejoiced in the late Spring harbinger of a delightful Summer and the joy the Season would bring.

"Woolly Mammoth! I must speak with you!" said Kentrosaurus.

"Of course, Kentrosaurus. What can I do for you, this fine day? I do hope all is well, canst thou hear thy relatives, the birds? How wonderful they sing, only the angels of the Lord may be more of a divine choir."

"Indeed, sir. Indeed. I ask if you recall Dire Wolf from our revival last summer in California at La Brea."

"Indeed I do recall him. I do think we saved his soul."

"You will rejoice to know that Dire Wolf is a wolf of his word. He promised to come to South Africa to see thee, and behold! He is here in the front yard, having traveled all the way from the United States."

"Bless the Lord Jesus. Our work has borne fruit. I have saved a soul."

"I know the morning sermon has passed; but will you provide some word from the Holy Book for him? He has come such a long way."


"Of course I will. At once."

And at once Woolly Mammoth and Kentrosaurus went to the front of the Church where Dire Wolf waited.

"Greetings brother Dire Wolf! I understand you have come a long way to see me and hear the Word of the Lord. Welcome to my home, and the Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival."

"Yes I have made a mighty pilgrimage, Woolly Mammoth. I felt compelled by your sermon last summer to seek the light of the Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings."

"Come to the garden with me. Kentrosaurus, you may leave your work on the hedges for the time being. We shall go 'round back and relax in the garden for a time. I feel compelled to give an impromptu sermon on Proverbs 10:29."

"Thank you sir," said Kentrosaurus.

Returned to the garden, Woolly Mammoth began his sermon.

"Brothers and sisters, birds of the air, Kentrosaurus, and brother Dire Wolf who has journeyed far to see us and hear the word of Christ, welcome. This afternoon, I feel compelled to speak upon The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 10 verse 29."

"Verily, The Good Book's wisdom says to us, "The Way of the Lord is a refuge for the righteous; but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
When troubles beset thee, trust in the Lord to see thee through them. Justice will prevail for those who believe, though times are tough and it may seem that evil prevails, The Lord will guard against thy ruin. Those who commit evil against their neighbor will, in turn be visited by evil, because their actions will condemn them to face their crimes before the Judge on Most High. Perhaps not on the spur of the moment; for justice is not always instantaneous; but bear thy burden with patience for the Lord has not forgotten."

"For the Way of the Lord is ruin for those who do evil; That which ye visit upon your neighbor, ye visit upon yourself. That which ye give shall be returned to thee; that which ye give shall be multiplied upon thee. It will be best for thee to keep this in mind, and to think before ye speak; give love and thou shalt receive love tenfold. Visit hate upon thy brother, and thou shalt have hate returned to thee TENfold. It is thy choice, so choose wisely. Choose wisely, brothers. The Lord watches thee, and knows thy heart. Be guided by His word, believe in His word, and ye cannot fail. Ye will be blessed. Amen."

Dire Wolf remained as a guest of the Woolly Mammoth Holy Pentecostal Church of the Pleistocene Revival for several months. Over this time he made many friends and his Spiritual health was attended to by regular sermons on a twice daily basis. Woolly Mammoth did not consider this to be a chore; he was delighted to know he had saved a soul.
